Bananaman first appeared during the late 80s in a comic strip in 'Nutty'. Later reappearing in The Dandy. Bananaman is a rather cheeky parody of other superheros such as Superman; after eating a banana, Eric Wimp changes into Superhero Bananaman, with the strength of 20 men.
